2 Main Hydraulic Hose Protectors: PP Spiral Guard, Fire Sleeve

The hydraulic hose is really important for the hydraulic project construction, and here I am happy to share with the hydraulic hose protector something helpful for hydraulic hose protection.

PP Spiral Guard

Spiral hose guard is used as the economical protection method to extend the life span of the hydraulic hose, pneumatic hose, cable, wire, rope and etc. We use the PP spiral guard to wrap the hydraulic hose, making it protected well in the hostile environment.

The PP spiral guard is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), with high strength, so you can use it in operating conditions with extreme climate changes.

The PP spiral guard wrap can protect the hydraulic hose against abrasion, crushing, UV reflection, and many other hazards.

And it is also easy for you to install the spiral guard to the hydraulic hose, with no complicated assembly care.

Material:
high-density Polyethylene, spiral-formed protection system, wear, cut, and crush-resistant polymer Tensile Strength 25 MPa at room temperature.

Temperature:
 -60℉ to +210℉ (-50℃ to +100℃)

Application

The hose spiral guard can be used in many conditions, a wide application, including oil farm machinery, construction machinery, oil tank truck, tractor, road roller and many other machines such as mining, equipment, forestry, agriculture, trucking, automotive application, which need the hydraulic hose to convey the petroleum-based fluids.

And we use the woven bag and plastic film to pack the PP spiral guard for the hydraulic hose, and you can get the packaging method of the hydraulic hose here

Fire Sleeve

The heat-resistant fire sleeve is constructed from a high fiberglass fiber that is woven to produce a hollow sleeve and then coated with a thick covering of iron oxide red silicone rubber.
The fire sleeve can be easily installed over hoses, cables, tubing, or pipes. It can offer excellent resistance to molten metal splash, radiant heat, abrasion, corrosive atmosphere, moisture, chemicals, vibration, and electricity.
In addition to protecting hoses, cables, pipes, etc., Fire Sleeve can protect operators from incurring scorching burn injuries on hot braided hoses and pipes. Fire Sleeve’s excellent moisture resistance makes it ideal for outdoor applications and heat resistance.

The fire sleeve is commonly used to protect hose and cables assemblies from flame and molten metal splash.

Material:

The fire sleeve is an industry generic term, typically referring to a glass fiber sleeve coated with red silicone rubber

Temperature:

Rated for 500°F (260°C) continuous exposure, up to 2000°F (1093°C) for 15-20 minutes, and up to 3000°F (1650°C) for 15-30 seconds.
Dimension:

Available in diameters from 1/4″ (6mm) to 5″ (125mm). The standard length is 100ft (30m). Nominal wall thickness = 0.135″ (3.43mm)

Application

The fire sleeve has a wide application for many conditions, you can it in many places, such as hardware stores, machinery, steel smelting, non-ferrous metal smelting, power plant, shipyard and etc. The fire sleeve can be used in the high-temperature areas that need to protect cable, hose, and pipes.
