The most widely used high pressure braided hydraulic hose in the industry. Two layers of high-tensile steel wire braid deliver robust pressure performance while maintaining excellent flexibility for mobile machinery routing.
Best for: Excavators, cranes, loaders, agricultural machinery, mobile hydraulics
A high pressure flexible hydraulic hose with a bend radius up to 35% tighter than standard SAE braided hoses. Ideal for compact machinery and tight-routing applications where both high pressure and high flexibility are required simultaneously.
Best for: Forklift mast, mini-excavators, compact loaders
Unique constant-pressure construction: the working pressure rating remains the same regardless of bore size (R17 = at least 210 bar across all sizes). Eliminates the need for different hose specifications across a machine, simplifying maintenance and inventory.
Best for: Standardised hydraulic circuits, mobile equipment fleet maintenance
The industry benchmark for high pressure spiral hydraulic hose in heavy-duty applications. Four spiral steel wire layers deliver exceptional impulse fatigue life and burst strength. EN856 4SH reaches 420 bar in the smallest bore sizes.
Best for: Large excavators, drilling rigs, mining loaders, presses
SAE 100R12 is the North American heavy-equipment standard for four-wire spiral high pressure rubber hydraulic hose. Designed for severe impulse applications such as main pump and boom circuits in large-class excavators and off-highway trucks.
Best for: 20-ton+ excavators, tunnel boring, heavy cranes
Kingdaflex’s ultra high pressure hydraulic hose range. SAE 100R13 features six spiral wire layers; SAE 100R15 reaches working pressures up to 420 bar (6,000 PSI) in small bore sizes. Both hoses meet the most demanding applications on the planet.
Best for: Offshore HPUs, water-jetting, downhole tools, steel mill presses

As a specialist high pressure hydraulic hose supplier, we back every product with manufacturing data — not just a certificate.
Our laboratory conducts impulse testing to 400,000 cycles (braided) and 1,000,000+ cycles (spiral) at 133% working pressure — exceeding SAE J517 and EN856 requirements on every production lot.
Every hose assembly is hydrostatically tested at twice the rated working pressure before shipment. Certificates issued per batch, with lot traceability from raw material to finished hose.
Ongoing rubber compound research with Qingdao University of Science & Technology ensures our tube and cover compounds remain at the leading edge of heat, ozone, and chemical resistance.
Every high pressure rubber hydraulic hose is a multi-layer engineering assembly. The innermost layer — the tube — is an extruded synthetic rubber (typically NBR or EPDM) that contacts the hydraulic fluid directly. It must be chemically compatible with the fluid, dimensionally stable under pressure cycling, and free from porosity to prevent fluid permeation.
Over the tube, one or more layers of high-tensile steel wire reinforcement are applied. In high pressure braided hydraulic hose, steel wires are woven over-and-under in a crossing pattern using automated braiding machines — Kingdaflex operates 16 high-speed braiders capable of producing multi-layer braided hoses in a single pass. In high pressure spiral hydraulic hose, wires are wound helically in opposing-angle layers to maximise hoop strength and impulse resistance. Our four spiral machines produce EN856 4SP/4SH continuously.
The outer cover — another extruded rubber layer — protects the wire from abrasion, ozone, UV, moisture, and chemical exposure. Cover compound selection has a profound effect on service life, especially in outdoor or chemically aggressive environments.
The choice between high pressure braided hydraulic hose and high pressure spiral hydraulic hose depends on three factors: peak pressure, impulse frequency, and flexibility requirement.
A high pressure hydraulic hose is only as reliable as its end fittings. At high pressures, a mismatched crimp — where the crimp diameter or die set doesn’t precisely match the hose wall thickness — is the single most common cause of assembly failure in the field. Fitting pull-off, internal extrusion, and swivel leak are all consequences of improper crimping.
Kingdaflex supplies matched hose-and-fitting assemblies where both the hose and the high pressure hydraulic hose fittings are manufactured in-house to the same tolerances. Our CNC swage machines hold crimp diameters to ±0.05 mm. Available fitting types include:
For critical high pressure hydraulic hose assemblies above 400 bar, we strongly recommend ORFS end fittings. Unlike BSP/JIC metal-to-metal seats, ORFS uses a captive elastomeric O-ring that maintains a leak-free seal even under extreme impulse loading and vibration.

A high pressure hydraulic hose is a flexible, multi-layer reinforced conduit designed to convey hydraulic fluid at elevated system pressures — typically above 250 bar (3,625 PSI). They are built with steel wire braid or spiral reinforcement to contain internal pressure safely, and are specified to SAE (J517) or DIN/EN standards. Common examples include SAE 100R2AT (two-wire braid, up to 420 bar) and EN856 4SH (four-wire spiral, up to 630 bar).
Braided hoses (SAE 100R1AT, 100R2AT, EN857 2SC) weave steel wires in an interlocking pattern for good flexibility and moderate pressure ratings up to ~420 bar. Spiral hoses (EN856 4SP/4SH, SAE 100R9/R12) wrap wires in concentric helical layers for superior burst and impulse resistance, reaching 420–630 bar. Choose spiral for heavy-duty high-impulse applications (excavators, drills, presses); choose braided for standard mobile hydraulics where routing flexibility is critical.
Ultra high pressure (UHP) hydraulic hose is rated at 700 bar (10,000 PSI) working pressure or above. SAE 100R15 is the primary UHP standard, achieving up to 1,034 bar (15,000 PSI) in 1/4-inch bore. These hoses feature multiple spiral wire layers and thick wall construction. Applications include downhole oil & gas tools, high-pressure water-jetting systems, and steel mill press circuits. Kingdaflex manufactures SAE 100R13 (six-spiral layers) and SAE 100R15 for these applications.
Use the STAMPED method:
Multiple SAE standards cover different pressure ranges: SAE 100R2AT (two-wire braid, up to 420 bar), SAE 100R9 and SAE 100R12 (four-wire spiral, heavy-duty), SAE 100R13 (six-wire spiral, very high pressure), and SAE 100R15 (ultra-high pressure, up to 1,034 bar in small bores). The equivalent European standards are EN853 2SN (braided) and EN856 4SP/4SH (spiral).
Standard high pressure rubber hydraulic hoses with NBR (nitrile) inner tubes operate from −40 °C to +100 °C with petroleum-based fluids. HNBR compounds extend the upper limit to +120 °C. For very high temperature service (up to +200 °C), PTFE-lined hoses (SAE 100R14) are required. Always confirm both the fluid temperature at the hose inlet and the ambient temperature around the hose routing.
Yes. Kingdaflex manufactures a complete range of high pressure hydraulic hose fittings — swaged ferrules, swaged end fittings, and one-piece fittings — in BSP, JIC, ORFS, NPT, DIN, and metric configurations. Because we manufacture both hose and fittings in-house, our crimp specifications are precisely matched to each hose wall thickness, eliminating the compatibility risk that arises from mixing hose and fitting brands.
For standard hose types (SAE 100R2AT, EN856 4SP, etc.) we supply from one roll (typically 20–100 metres per roll depending on bore size) for trial and sample orders, up to full container OEM volumes. Custom specifications (non-standard outer diameters, special rubber compounds, private-label printing) require minimum order quantities that our sales team will confirm based on your specific requirements.
